WHAT'S NEW ON THE THOMPSON RIVER...
Let's see....I finally popped back in to this computer world and noticed that November was the last time I updated my "News". (Hence, the "What's goin' on). The River is very, very low right now and because it is in winter mode, there isn't a lot to report except to check out the new Thompson River page on this website. I'd like to invite all our Fisherfolk to send us some pictures of either their prize fish, or just a shot you'd like to share of our Majestic Thompson River, so we can get a jump on this new addition (at last) to our website. It has unending potential.
WHAT'S HAPPENING IN AND AROUND SPENCES BRIDGE...
It's pretty well looking like Spring around here these days.
There's GOLD in them thar hills! Check out "Spences Bridge Gold" on Google.
Remember -- THERE'S NO GAS STATION HERE for now.
Our hours are from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm every day (unless we have an event or party, and then we remain open until 1:00am).
Speaking of events . . . this Friday, April 25th, we're holding a Pool Tournament starting at 8pm sharp. One Double Elimination followed by a Single Elimination (time permitting), with lots of prizes, a balloon raffle throughout the night, and a little bit of local town rivalry make it a fun night even if you aren't playing pool. Only the first l6 registered in the tournament play so make sure you get here on time if you want to go home with some winnings! We're planning to hold these Tourneys every other Friday Night, so mark your calendars for the next one as well - MAY 9th.
Besides the new Thompson River page added to our website, we've changed the Burnout page as well by adding some live YouTube footage of last year's Competition that we had sent to us. We also re-added the link to the CBC Radio3 coverage of our 2004 Burnout Party, which was broadcast over their Internet Broadband Modern Media service for two weeks in July of that year. It's interesting to see how the "professionals" see the way we have fun when we get together on a sunny day. Whether it's pix or clips - you get the idea!
We're continuing to make changes to the Website so bear with us and stay tuned and please SIGN THE NEW GUEST BOOK so we know you've visited!

If it isn't a Thompson River Steelhead ... it's just a Steelhead. - Changed the wording of a bumper sticker I saw about dogs. Laurie. |
